Manaslu Circuit Trek allows experience of remote trekking in Nepal. By participating on this trek, you will circumambulate Manaslu Mountain which is the eighth highest mountain in the world. Once restricted to the outer world, Manaslu region still receives only few visitors every year and thus life in Manaslu is still in its primitive form. Ancient knowledge, art, architecture and culture have been passed on from generation to generation. If you follow the standard Manaslu Circuit trekking route, you will find few teahouses opened an at all major stop point that's why both teahouse and camping style accommodation is possible for this trek.

Alaya Holidays operate 19 days Manaslu Circuit Trek itinerary. Leaving Kathmandu, we will drive for 8hrs to reach Soti River via Arughat Bazaar. Manaslu Circuit trekking begins from Arughat Bazaar. Larkya La Pass is the highest point of Manaslu Circuit Trek. We will walk through Larkya Glacier and reach the top of Larkya La Pass from where we can get views of Cheo Peak, Kangguru Peak and Annapurna II Mountain. Manaslu Circuit trekking highlight include visit to Sama Gompa Monastery and view of Sringi Mountain. We can observe local culture in Samdo village. Manaslu Circuit Trek is the restricted area trek. You require special permit from Nepal Government to trek to Manaslu.

After you land at the airstrip of Tribhuvan International Airport, you need to move towards a line to let officials perform custom formalities. Upon completion of visa and custom formalities, you will head towards exit of Arrival Hall. Our representative will be waiting for you. Please look for your name in the placard that will be holding by our representative. He will greet you and escort you to the three-star category hotel. Welcome drinks will be served. After refreshment, you will receive briefing regarding your trek. Stay overnight in a hotel.

This is the day in which you will closely observe the medieval city of Kathmandu by participating in an exciting sightseeing tour. Out of 10 UNESCO sites in Nepal, 7 lies in Kathmandu Valley while 4 of these sites exist in Kathmandu. On this day, you will visit Nepal’s largest Buddhist shrine of Bouddhanath, holiest Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, 2500 years old Buddhist shrine of Swayambhunath and the ancient Royal Palace at Kathmandu Durbar Square. You will get time for trek preparation and shopping in the afternoon.

Heading west, we will follow Prithvi Highway to Malekhu. We will move north from Malekhu and drive 30km more to reach DhadingBesi. DahdingBesi is the district headquarters of Dhading. The road stretches northwest from Dhadingbesi to Arughat Bazaar. Arughat Bazaar is divided into two parts by BudhiGandaki River. We will drive along the western bank of River to SotiKhola. Stay overnight at SotiKhola.

After breakfast, we will walk through dense Sal forest. We will cross ridges and move along rice terraces to the Gurung village of Lapubesi. We will cross a suspension bridge over Nauli River and reach Machha River. Stay overnight in Machha River.

CrossingMachha River, we will walk through pasture land to Khorlabesi. The pretty village of Khorlabesiallows great views ofsurrounding mountains and valley. We will climb uphill to Tatopani, a site for natural hot spring. Crossing the forested ridge, we will reachDovan village. We can get great view of BudhiGandaki River from Dovan village. Moving further from Dovan, we will arrive at ThuloDhunga village. We will cross suspension bridge over Yaru River and climb to ThadoBharyang. We can get close-up view of Manaslu Mountain from the top. We will climb to Jagatfor overnight stay.

Our trekking permit will be checked at the office in Jagat. We will enter Manaslu Conservation Area and reach Salleri from where we will lower down to Sirdibas. One can get 360 degree view of Shringi Mountain from Sirdibas village. Crossing the river over wooden bridge, we will reach Gurung village of Philim where we will stay overnight.

Crossing the path through waterfall area, we will arrive at Syaule Bhatti village. As we cross the suspension bridge, we will reach the open space where we will be greeted by blooming flowers. We will enjoy the panoramic views of surrounding mountains and reach Deng for overnight stay.

Leaving Deng, we will follow the descending trail to river. We will cross the river and choose escalating path upward through forest of oak and rhododendron. Walking past street lined withmani wall, we will arrive at Gyapsa from where we will head towards Namrungfor overnight stay. Namrung is a small multi-ethnic village.

From Namrung, we will follow the path that is festooned with prayer flags. Crossing stone gates at few points, we will reach the culturally rich village of Lho where we can closely observe local culture and traditions. We will follow the narrow path to Pungen glacier. Moving further, we will arrive atSamagaon. The village offers awe-inspiring view of Manaslu Mountain. Stay overnight in SamaGaon.

We will take break from Manaslu Circuit Trek on this day. We will explore local houses in Samagaon and visit Samagompa. If you like, we can arrange a side trip to Birendra Tal. There is also a glacier valley located close to Samagaon. Stay overnight in Samagaon.

We will walk past summer settlement area of locals existing in a valley and choose ascending path to the top of ridge. The ridge allows spectacular view ofManaslu Mountain.Lowering down from the ridge, we can reach Samdo village. There is a gompa that lies about thirty minutes far from Samdo. About 4km far from Samdo is a Nepal-Tibet border. We can get panoramic views of Manaslu Mountain, NagdiChuli Peak and Manaslu glacier from the area. Stay overnight in Samdo.

The trail from Samdo descends to river. We will choose an escalating path from river to the top of ridge. We can get close-up view of Larkya Glacier. Moving further along Salka River, we will head towards Dharmasala where we can find one stone rest house dedicated for pilgrims. Stay overnight in Dharmasala.

Following the trail interrupted by moraines, we can get views of Cheo Mountain and Larke peak. We will proceed to the northern edge of Larkya Glacier from where we will climb to the top of Larkya Pass. Summit of Larkya Pass allows scenic views of Himlung Mountain (7120 m), Cheo Mountain (6820 m), Kangguru Peak (6680 m) and Annapurna II (7937 m) Mountain. We will move further from Larkya Pass to Bimtang for overnight stay.

We will walk along glaciated river and arrive at the wooden bridge. The trail continues through meadow to Burdin River valley. We will climb to the top of ridge located at 4150 m altitude which allows spectacular views of Manaslu Mountain and Annapurna II Mountain. Descending to Dudh River, we will traverse rhododendron forest and reach Karche valley from where we will cross rhododendron forest to reach Tilje. Walking past ethnic villages, we will cross suspension bridge over Dudh River and follow the ascending trail to Thonje. The trail crosses Marshyandi River and reach Dharapani where we will stay overnight.

Manaslu Circuit Trekking trail meets with Annapurna Circuit trekking trail at Dharapani. We will lower down to Marshyandi River and hike through Marshyandi valley to arrive at Syange where we will stay overnight.

We will leave Syange and walk along waterfall that exists above southern edge of river. Steep climb from waterfall takes us to Bahundanda village. Bahundanda village is located at the top of hill and is inhabited by Brahmin ethnics. It allows bird’s eye view of Marshyandi Valley. We will lower down to Ngadi Bazar from Bahundanda and then walk along river bank to Bulbule. As we cross the bridge, we will hike to Besisahar for overnight stay.

It takes almost 5 hrs of bus ride to take us back to Kathmandu. We will follow Prithvi Highway back to the capital city where you will be transferred to a hotel for comfortable stay.

This is a free day. Spend the day on your own. You can take rest or go for shopping. Thamel is best destination for shopping handicrafts. We can also organize optional sightseeing tour.
