Weather and temperature of Himalaya Nepal

Nepal is a country with diverse topography. Along with the diversity in geography and altitude, the weather and climate also become diverse. The climate ranges from tropical hotness to arctic coldness. The lowlands of Nepal have the maximum altitude of approximate 305 m.  The place has the hot plus humid weather with the temperature that may escalate to as high as 45 degree Celsius during the summer season. The northern part of the country is housed by the wide Himalayas with the intense cold weather with the temperature standing to zero degree Celsius and even less.

For example, the temperature of Everest base camp is as low as -8 degree Celsius with the wind 11 km/hour and this is the data of summer season. You can simply imagine the weather condition during the winter season. This place is elevated at the altitude of 17,600 feet. Similarly, the temperature of Annapurna Base camp is around 4 degree Celsius in summer and winter are harsh. The temperature on the Himalayas is never constant but the simple logic is as we go higher, the colder it becomes. Hence, if anyone wants to travel Nepal especially in the Himalayan region, then the climate and weather is one of the most crucial factors to be considered.

Nepal has mainly of four seasons including spring, summer, autumn and winter. The spring season appears from the month of March to May with moderate temperature in high altitude Himalayas giving the nicest of the nice views of majestic mountains. During this, one can explore many varieties of flora and fauna. Especially, the season is for the rhododendron to blossom and decorate the Himalayan and hilly region.
Summer season is basically accompanied by the monsoon season. The rainfall is maximum during this time with the hot weather. However, the weather and climate of the Himalayan region do not get hot, the intenseness of coldness is dropped to some extent.

Autumn season which is from the month of September to November is the best time to visit Nepal. The weather is moderate and is the best time for the most awesome views of the fascinating Himalayas.  The winter here is cold with occasional snowfalls in higher altitudes. The weather in the Himalayan region during winter is harsher than could be imagined. During winter, the temperature of Kathmandu itself, the capital sometimes might go below 2 degree Celsius; it simply would be unbelievable to account for the drop of temperature in Himalayan region which is frozen in times of the year. For example, the Everest region is cold all year round. The average temperature of Everest base camp could drop to as low as -17 degree Celsius. This is just the example of how hard the weather and climate do the Himalayan region of Nepal could be.
